Headache & Migraine Care

Book a comprehensive consultation to clarify your diagnosis, and develop a treatment plan.  Christie Tait, Nurse Practitioner, is specialized in primary headache disorders and can discuss and prescribe any appropriate treatments.  Did you know there are several new treatments for migraine? Botox, CGRP monoclonal antibodies, and gepants are treatments that can be discussed in this visit to find out if they're right for you. No referral required.

Botox for Migraine and Jaw Pain

Botox has been an approved as a safe and effective treatment for chronic migraine since 2011.  In addition to its effectiveness, it has minimal side effects when compared to most oral medications.  We can also treat jaw pain (TMJ dysfunction) with Botox.  Find out more below or book a complimentary visit to find out if these treatments are right for you.

Mindfulness for Migraine

Our Mindfulness for Migraine program is designed to help individuals integrate behavioural strategies to improve quality of life and self-efficacy. Our program is customized to those with migraine and is co-facilitated by a migraine specialized healthcare provider and certified migraine coach. Each session will cover current topics in migraine treatment, mindfulness concepts, and meditation.  You will build practical skills to manage symptoms and reduce the impact of migraine on your life.

We offer treatment for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), wrinkle reduction, skin smoothing, smile corrections, and treatment of enlarged jaw muscles with either Botox or Dysport.

Founder and Director, Structure Clinic

Christie's medical expertise is in the diagnosis and management of primary headache disorders.  She delivers education to healthcare providers nationally and internationally and is an active member of the Canadian Headache Society, American Headache Society, and Medical Science Committee of Migraine Canada.  Her clinical and academic work have focused on optimizing the diagnosis and treatment of migraine to improve the quality of life for those living with this neurological disease.  Christie has a special interest in integrative approaches to managing headache disorders, specifically mindfulness for chronic pain and stress management. 

As the Founder & Director of Structure Clinic, Christie brings her high level of education and therapeutic treatment skills to clients seeking personalized and comprehensive care for their headaches disorders. In addition to natural and behavioural strategies to manage migraine, Christie is an expert in the administration of Botox to treat chronic migraine, the utilization of CGRP monoclonal antibodies (Ajovy, Vypeti, Aimovig, and Emgality) and gepants (Ubrelvy, Qulipta, and the recently approved Nurtec) as migraine specific treatments.
